SOUTH BEND — The two Democratic candidates for South Bend mayor will be the featured speakers at the Howard Park/East Bank Neighborhood Association on Monday at the Zion United Church of Christ’s fellowship hall, 211 S. St. Peter St. The meeting will start at 7 p.m., not its usual time of 6 p.m.
“This is not a debate,” said association secretary Karen Schefmeyer of the hourlong public meeting with incumbent Pete Buttigieg and his challenger, city councilman Henry Davis Jr.
The meeting will focus on the candidates’ vision for the Howard Park/East Bank Neighborhood, including the projects in Howard Park such as the ice rink and senior citizen center.
The public is invited to attend. For details, call 574-288-6300.
